Quote: I had the date range at 1970-1985. I'm pretty sure about that.
I agree, but you asked was the coin dated. the coin is dated using a different calendar.

KM# 816 is out. "Circulating commemorative coin." See Q 14.
KM# 773 is out because there is no mintage listed, save the proofs. How could you have answered a mintage question? That's my reasoning anyways.
My guess is a 1977 25 Paisa - Birendra Bir Bikram from Nepal, KM# 815.

Quote: I agree, but you asked was the coin dated. the coin is dated using a different calendar. If we are going to go there then my guess is a waste too. Maybe Steve will win, but I think we can still get him. Edit Quote: 19. Is this coin dated after 1978? NO That saves me. All the calendar dates are still dated AFTER 1978. We got him boys, get guessin'.

My edited guess is, 2032 (1975) 25 Paisa - of Monarch Birendra Bir Bikram KM# 815
How I did not see Keith's guess is probably Loonies fault.

Proofs aren't intended for circulation, so I don't consider them "standard circulation coins." I agree with loonie that if the coin is not dated after 1978, then the answer referred to Gregorian Date, otherwise they would all be out. I don't have KM# 816 in my list when I narrow it down. Looks like we have duplicate guesses, as well...

keith, good point. Just wasn't on the radar. We/I got away with it this time. Minted, issued, dated.....picky, picky, picky. But we knew that. joe, what are you doin' tryin' to steal keiths guess? ( I love using free question marks here. ) We might need you to swoop in and save us when we all are out. Sprue and Ed have our backs too. keith and I are committed, and/or should be... , to our guesses. Quote: I don't have KM# 816 in my list when I narrow it down. What were your filters? You guys have gotten ones I haven't in the past, I do get KM# 816 this time. Must be Numista homepage or something. Steve should be up around dinner time. Then we will see if he was delusional or not. .
