 . 175X, 185X or 195X, where X=0-9, for the year. A short list of possible countries. Demonetized and not precious. I don't know of any demonetized coins dated from the 1950's and NA issued, so lets go with this....or not. Thanks Oz.

You might want to widen your date range looney.
Date ranges are xx40-xx89
XL, L, LX, LXX, LXXX
so 1840-1889 or 1940-1989

Loonie, I'm not going to answer your question yet. You might want to review the possibilities.
XL= 40, L= 50, LX= 60, LXX= 70, LXXX= 80 .

It's not impossible that the coin could be either: 1542 Carlos I - 2 Maravedis 1769 Carlos III - ˝ Grano Someone on Numista claims to have them, but I seriously doubt that person is triggers mob  So a Mexican coin 1840-1889 or 1940-1989 that doesn't contain a precious metal.
