2. Coin not issued when a George was on the British throne.
3. Coin contains silver.

Well, coin was not issued before 1875.

There was a George on the British throne at that time.

There has not been a George on the British throne since 1952.

So the date range is 1953 to 2022.

I think you are forgetting certain lady named Victoria!!

George V took over from Edward VII in 1911

Date ranges therefore 1875-1910 and 1953-2022

Victoria was on the throne from 1875 to 1901
Edward VII from 1901 to 1910
Edward VIII from for part of 1936
Elizabeth II from 1952 to 2022 (coronation actually in 1953)

So these would be your date ranges


Was the coin issued 1936 or earlier?
