I don't know what to say but "Wow". Had you not had a keen eye, it would have met a far worse fate. It makes me wonder how often these things go out into circulation and are worn away to nothing.

Now that ive been learning about the value of certain serial numbers I dont want to sell it anymore... but I really need the dough.

I keep telling myself that with my new money I might come across another cool specimen but we shall see.

I will post up my ebay link when I get it up there, there will be more pics in it too...

erm.... I *think* you should offer shipping to Asia, particularly Hong Kong. People there are really into notes with auspicious numbers, and the number 7 isn't too shabby, and the fact that it's an American $1 really adds the kicker.

Story here: when I was just back there, I got an old green HSBC $10 from exchange with the number DZ888828. I was laughing with the teller that I got it, and the person behind me offered $200 (HKD) for it.

Also if you take a look at most of the ebay auctions with good numbers, they all originate from Asian countries.
