You ever find any of the really bad 1990 or the 2012 $ sign ones? Only 2 I can't find for my binder.

I just want to find 1 of each to fill in missing spots in album. Don't need or want any more than that.

@gilgerr24: I have yet to come across a 1990 or 2012 toonie counterfeit. Lots of 1996, 2004 and 2006.

Well hopefully someone will find a few 1990s and 2012s to get the few of us that look for them holes filled in books.

Just downloaded the latest issue of Canadian Coin News - Volume 62 Number 25 March 11-25 2025 which features an article on a new discovery.

A counterfeit Nunavut? I'm sure nickelsguy may have more to add to this story.

I do agree that the Camel Toe variety seems to be harder to find and that this recent variety is just awful but to the uneducated or less informed it would still pass as a PMD coin.

Maybe nickelsguy can give us an idea of the markers to look for on this new fake Nunavut toonie so we can look for it in our coin hunts .

I would love to get one so that I can document it for CamelToeToonies.ca. Unfortunately, the one person who showed me one refused to share.

I have been looking and can't find anything about it. I would love to find it, the 1990 and the 2012 too.

Good example of a Type A reverse die crack and RC2 reverse die clash on that second one (the 2006).

Also trig if you look at the 6 on the 2006 it should look like the 6 in the 1996 , the upright part of the 6 should not be straight, if should have a curve.
