As the owner of a coin like that I would be elated at the VG grade but if I were purchasing, I would consider it overgraded. This is why collectors are advised to "buy the coin, not the slab grade". We all realize that grading is subjective but there are solid standards for grading especially with circulated coins. VG coins of this series MUST have full rims. This coin does not. Still a nice pickup of a key date.
