@All: Thanks for the kind feedback on the Canadian SD! In 2008, the American Bald Eagle Recovery and National Emblem commemorative coin program was issued by the US Mint - it included a Gold Half Eagle ($5), a Silver Dollar and a Copper-Nickel (CuNi) Clad Half Dollar. The Silver Dollar features an unnamed mountain at the 4 o'clock position within its obverse design (under the soaring Eagle's wing).

@All: Thanks for the kind feedback on the Bald Eagle SD! Next up is the Gold Half Eagle from the 2015 US Marshal's 225th Anniversary commemorative coin program; the program also included a Silver Dollar and a Copper-Nickel (CuNi) Half Dollar. The obverse of the Half Eagle presents a United States Marshals Service Star in the foreground with a Western landscape that features mountains in the far background. The depiction of the mountains is a bit subtle, but they are there!

@All: Thanks for the kind feedback on the US Marshals Half Eagle! Here's another coin with a subtle/easy-to-overlook mountain included in its design - the US Marine Corps' 230th Anniversary Silver Dollar. The obverse of the coin depicts the famous US flag raising scene atop Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima as captured by Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal on February 23, 1945. Sculptor-Engraver Norman E. Nesmith of the US Mint created the design based on the Rosenthal photograph. Mount Suribachi (a volcanic cone) has an elevation of 554 feet, and is located at the southwest end of the island of Iwo Jima..
