Would not be surprised RCM would give us a non-circulating coin set with KClll later.

I'd bet on it!

It seems like too big of an opportunity for the Mint to pass up!

the RCM is definitely a for-profit enterprise

the RCM is 100% a for-profit enterprise and with the coronation in May, I fully anticipate a full suite of KCIII coins in all formats, base, silver, gold, platinum, colourized, with sparkly bits and plain.
If you read the note on the "Non-Circulation" set mailout it says:
Quote:
the mint will not be issuing any 2023-dated Canadian circulation coins featuring both the traditional reverse designs and an obverse featuring Queen Elizabeth II

That leaves the door open for a circulation set and actual circulation coins with the traditional reverses (beaver, bluenose, caribou, coat of arms, loon and polar bear) and a KCIII obverse.

I think it will be an uncirculated set of circulating King Charles III coins.

Heres some micro shots to verify the quality of the coins. I would say the Twonie has the most dings and strong rim squashes but over all not that bad. They put a whopper of a 3 on the 5 cent.Study the close ups for quality.

Congrats on successfully getting a set. However...

Orders for the Mint's coins/sets are typically filled randomly, without regard to COA number. There is no guarantee that your set was one of the last to be picked/shipped.

If you had ordered ten sets you would most likely have received ten random numbers.

I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered. Bought it on March 6th; here is my latest info from tracker:

Date Time Progress
Apr. 5 7:33 am Signature available Download delivery confirmation
7:33 am Item successfully returned to sender's delivery partner Ottawa, ON
7:32 am The item being returned to the sender went out for delivery. Ottawa, ON

Does anyone here understand what this means? The way I read it, my order got returned to the RCM.
