Here's a different kind of "trio" - putting together a PF67 1959 set - a TRIO of open spaces soon to be filled (hopefully)

Then I would have to collect a 1961 proof set
The star means higher than average eye appeal - I do believe. Like the dime has frosted devices on the obverse but not so much on the reverse for a cameo designation.
