triggersmob Pillar of the Community Australia 9540 Posts	Posted 02/27/2026 03:25 am 2014 India 5 rupee - Komagata Maru After being forced to leave Vancouver on July 23, 1914, due to restrictive Canadian immigration laws, the Komagata Maru was forced back to India, where 19-20 passengers were killed by British authorities upon arrival at Budge Budge, Kolkata, on September 27, 1914, with others imprisoned.
