Thanks for your info and advice! Sounds like you've had your share of experience collecting these! Since you like the Whitman albums, have you had any experience like mine with the toning? As you can see in my images in my initial post, there's a drastic difference between the dimes I purchased 15-20 years ago and placed in the album then and then ones I purchased a few weeks/months ago and placed in my new Dansco.

Screamer?

Actually I've had virtually no problems with any of my coins in any of my over 100 Whitman Albums. Way, way back when I was a kid I somehow knew that coins would tone, corrode, tarnish, etc if air and moisture got to them. So I used to put all my Albums in plastic bags. Now since there are those Zip Lock Plastic Bags, I now place all Albums in the Gallon sized ones and push out as much air as possible. They all fit easily. I've tried this with Dansco Albums too and they really just barelly make it. If you look you would notice that the Dansco Albums are a bit taller and deeper than a Whitman. Some like the Intercept Shield ones but I think they are to expensive, look horrible for color and I get the same results from Whitman's in a Zip Lock bag.
And whatever you do, don't clean them. When I was a kid I used to clean all my coins. They sure looked pretty but I'll always wonder how much material I took off. Sort of like giving one of those Egyptian Mummies a bath.

I'm finally down to just the 1916d on my original, highly circulated set! Picked this beauty up today:
My-Liberty-Head-/-Mercury-Dimes-Hi,-I'm-New-Here!
Yeah, it's well worn, but it fits right in with the rest of the set put together when I was much younger. Now I can really get to work on my nicer XF/AU set.
