Thanks jbuck @mtuma3, I agree, at first glance it looks quite plain, but the Haiti note is really nice.

Nice adds "Scots" Here's a couple more pick ups from the 1960's Philippines which I like for their spirographic designs. These 2 examples (50 & 100 Piso) come with the Marco's signatures:

Quote: Lovely colours on that 100 Piso -yes, "Scots" the contrasting colours is more dramatic to look at than on the scan (for most of them). I like the 1969 issue because they have clear borders (no underprint) and no "New Society" (ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN) overprint which occurs on the watermark as seen in this 20 Piso in 1974:

I bought this one back in March around the same time "Scots" posted his 1939 One Pounder & it eventually arrived (a week or so ago):

Nice... is that a 39 also? I don't collect UK notes and I don't see a date so I'm guessing there is some code in the serial #?

Quote: s that a 39 also? No for a 1939 check http://goccf.com/t/58789&whichpage=98#3175279 br / This one is P-369 (1948-49) printed for 1 year with the security thread & K O Peppiatt's signature. I've been waiting for one of these older One Pound notes for some time & was after a P-363a (with "C P Mahon" signature). P-363 with no security strip lasted for 20 years but I have seldom seen the Mahon up for auction (in the condition I want) so I jumped at this P-369 (which lasted 12 years & only 1 year with Peppiatt) & is IMO somewhat tough/under-rated item listed in the SCWPM. Most of the P-369 One Pounders offered for sale (on the block) tend to be either "Beale" or "O'Brien" signatures with the security threads.

Lovely £1 walk2dwater, in great condition. I love those old £1 notes as you know, they hold their value well too.

France 10,000 francs, 1956. In case you don't recognize the guy, it's Napoleon Bonaparte, founder of the Banque de France (he is also known for other things).
