Just in from Moscow, Russia ~ Mismatched serial numbers error.

Kyrgyzstan P-29a 1000 Son (2010)
Mismatched Serial numbers Error
S/N BE1499710 (left) BE1599710 (right)

Since I don't know how serial numbers are assigned to individual notes on sheets of Foreign Currency, I don't know which of the two serial numbers is the correct one and what number is the error, this is why people lucky enough to locate mismatched serial numbers from newly released back packs, include the bookend notes with the error note being the center note.

One of the security features on this note is the front to Back Registration on the word "C O M" on the lower right side of the Watermark, one half is split on the front with the other half on the back.

When held up to a light source C O M is connected, Pakistan currency also uses this feature on their notes.

I have a few more International Currency Errors in transit, two expected to be delivered by mid January 2020 & look forward to posting them here.

I included a bonus currency error in the pics below, this one from the USA.

BONUS Error Note

Here is a series 1995 $1 Overprint on back error note that was printed for the H-E Block ~ Run 9 ~ Sheet #142966 I just received from PMG, it's not a bad grade but I thought it could have gone up a point and expected a 67 instead of a 66.

This Overprint was printed on the well known back plate #295 engraving error (The Plate should have been used at the Washington DC Plant, not Fort Worth, Texas.

When I first posted this on Facebook, Fredrick Bart had commented that was the first one he has seen, I had taken the liberty of making a 9x12" laminated Census Chart showing the other 15 Serial Numbers from this sheet currently awaiting confirmation.

I also discovered some years back that the H-E Block runs printed at Fort Worth is also a COPE "Swapped Sheets" Variety where the serial numbers are off by 2 quadrants or 3,200,000 when you convert the serial number to its assigned COPE sheet plate position.

I believe the other 15 notes are also printed with the b/p295 engraving error.

While this was at PMG I decided to purchase a PCGS 66PPQ back plate #295 note with a Courtesy Autograph.

I'm also just wondering if it's necessary to post images of your address (on image #1 and #8) on the envelopes sent to you? Might be a good idea to delete those (for privacy reasons).

walk2dwater, In the beginning I would avoid posting my address, now I don't worry about it, besides I gave up my Privacy with each App I download.

If I didn't include my address in the pics I believe others would question my International Transactions on ebay's other Global Sites.

Most of my Global Coin & Currency errors were not listed on ebay's (dot.com) site here, today's posts were items I purchased from ebay's UK & Russian sites.

The Kyrgyzstan P-29a 1000 Son (2010) mismatched SN looks to be in high grade? Also the "bonus" misplaced overprint on the US 1995 $1.00 is very dramatic (& awesome grade). It's the first I've seen too.

Have you thought about posting this $1 error in the US Paper Money thread? There may be some collectors there who could give you more info. Great adds!

I looked into buying the same Kyrgyzstan P-29a 1000 Son (2010) mismatched SN but I found the price was too high (even after negotiating with the seller).

It cost me $95 for the note after shipping & NYS Taxes, since my new goal is to focus on my World Currency Errors I decided to purchase it when the seller wouldn't budge on the price.

One of my preferred Lithuanian (Russian era) banknotes I picked up recently (P36 I like the bobcat & the larger format shows well):

I started collecting foreign currency errors when I realized that I can find the same type error as that on a USA note for a small fraction of the cost.

As an example, a double overprint error on a USA note can bring 5 figures whereas the same double overprint on a note from India, Pakistan or the Philippines can be had for around $100.

I use Morland C. Fischer's "World Paper Money Errors" book (that I highly recommended) as a guide for what I should pay, and I've been lucky to win error notes for less than half the estimated value.

I also purchased some nice errors that are not listed in the book & currently adding pictures of my notes in his book.

When time permits, I will post a thread showing my collection & would love to see other members error notes.

When it comes to Global Currency Errors, my research shows the number one Country for releasing errors into circulation is the United States with India a close second.

Below is some sample pics, I'm now changing the 3 note page book to a single page book 7x9" 3 ring binder.

Test printing of a 1000 yuan note of 1944 (1945) by the Central Reserve Bank of China (Japanese puppet bank) on a sheet of Central Bank 20 cts of 1940 notes. Someone cut it out of the sheet much more recently I suspect.

I discovered that a certain auction company auctioned one of these and bizarely listed it as an error!
