@ Walk2dwater - That's probably my favorite 1 Pound note from the UK - I really like the design.
@ScotsGreyhound - I'd no idea it was an emergency issue, nor about the metallic thread - thanks for the info!

I just looked it up again & realized I had erroneously labelled it P369a -when it really should have been P367a. It is also appears in better condition than the scan since I left it in one of those fold up holder which overlaps on the top border (causing it to appear darker than it is). I want to acquire the green non-emergency (green) notes (P363 & 369) some day. At least I got this one just prior to the Emergency issue:   -sold to me as "Gem" but more likely "Choice" ungraded and P359a (I believe). (I find SWPMC difficult to interpret in terms of some of the older GB issues/based on their descriptions of dot over one, one or two lines, etc. If anyone wishes to correct me- than I welcome the clarification) |

I just bought this 'uncatalogued' piece:   It is very special. It is 'double-sided' and quite scarce. The 2 notes have been cut from an original sheet of 10 pieces, folded in half and then stitched around. It's catalogued now though!! |

The left-hand side graphic shows a man selling his sausages with the saying underneath:
'What the big sausage is to the sausage / the Emperor is to the sovereigns'.
Also, notice the small dog playing with the snake and the black coloured dog standing between the 2 potted plants........there is so much imagery going on, its easy to miss.

Brought back from my aborted Central American cruise - 2015 Costa Rica 2000 Colones:   I was due to visit Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Belize. However, after a port call at Limon in Costa Rica, we couldn't dock anywhere else and after a few days at sea the passengers were eventually repatriated by air from Jamaica! |
