My new Ike is "currently in transit to the next facility." Shows expected delivery is today, but unless my carrier comes out a second time it will be here tomorrow the soonest.  |

@jbuck 2013 Ike?
I too have a long sought after Ike in transit, a 1972 type 2, the 34th and last coin of my registry set that I'll be able to get.
edit: Oh, the 5 star generals....I slipped into neutral there for a minute.

I have kinda my version of the extended set in my Dansco Ike's...hadn't thought about certified coins for my reg. set....still need that 2013.  |

My Ike Dansco has four "traditional" (duplicate) Ikes in those extra holes. That set was finished in 1993. I learned many years later that the duplicate 1972 was Variety 1 while the one in the primary hole is Variety 3. By the way, the 2013 on the way is for my PCGS Ike set. It will have 42 coins and a medal when it is done. |

Sounds good, I like the idea of adding "extras" or extending the registry set with nice "go-withs" the 72 T2 is for my registry set and I know how you're feeling! But all we can do is wait as fast as we can.... |

Most of the coin images came from the seller, the rest I took with my Moto smartphone. I use paint.net to compose the side-by-side with label underneath. https://getpaint.net |

As much photo practice as anything, but since I had my Dansco Ike's out, I got looking at them a little closer. Much to my pleasant surprise, I see that my 72-S BU and 72-S proof are both peg legs.  The 72-S BU (L) looks like a hint of the serifs but it is shadow. Also, I am going to try and get serious about the photography side of things.  Would this one also be considered a peg leg?
