If you google "melt value of US coins' it will show you a few websites that update daily as to the spot prices.

Some of the problems with determining the value of Silver coins for Silver value is most people do not take into account wear. Some coins have substantial wear and are worth much less than what people think.
Next is who buys Silver for Silver prices? You could say it's $17/ounce but if you can only get $14/ounce, then all the math is just math.
