At the opposite end of the spectrum, to my mind, the American Silver Eagle bullion dollar is one of the most beautiful and perfect coins in the world. It could get run over by a locomotive and still retain its luster. I have PCGS MS-68 and MS-69 ASEs. The only way I could tell the difference in perfection is when I put them under my scanning electron microscope, the 68 had about ten few atoms than the 69.[:0] I'd need an MS-70 to compare them to see what makes the difference in grades; it sure isn't any blemishes on either coin.
