Just got back from the NFL Experience in Jacksonville and limited editions of the Super Bowl coin were selling for $75 at the NFL tents. One of 7,500 or 75,000. I didn't really pay attention to it, but they looked nice.

STUPID BOWL

That's how I feel about present day football

In order to make this reply in keeping with the numismatic subject, I'd like to say that the last playoff game that I saw that went into overtime, they showed a close-up of the coin being flipped and it was a Morgan! It looked pretty well-worn. I don't know the date because it landed on tails

That said, I can also make my second comment which is that I agree with Catman. But only because the Steelers aren't in it this year

Well those coins are now worth twice as much to Patriot fans over Eagle fans...maybe more! I know if my Bills ever won a Super Bowl, I would buy everything related to the win because I love football, burritoes at 4AM...and those Twins (Coors Light Love Song).

Here's to football...unfortunately it is over till August. ;-(

Yeh I am still waiting to hear back from the sportwriter of the Detroit Free Press. I might try another writer as Mitch Albom is a pretty busy guy.

If I hear anything, I will post the answer.
