Frustrating Or Fun?

Well you can it just takes some extra resources. I don't have a printer (what? really? haha) or a label maker to put the slots on the blank nickel pages.

And thank you for the correction. I don't know a lot of the terms for numismatics yet. I need to spend a little extra time in that area rather than the grading and quality of strikes. I suppose one day I'll look into the 18/17-D, but there are other key dates I would much rather have. The same cannot be said for the 3-legger, I want that bad boy something bad :)

Capital Plastics made a display for the buffalo set that didn't have the varieties like the 3 leg and overdates.
You have set yourself a formidable task and will have a beautiful set when completed.
Here is my set in the capital holder.I put this set together about 10 years ago and got the holder in 2001 for $30 from ebay.

I put together a set of vf/xf Buffalos, and it was indeed challenging, and fun. It took me a long time!! I was lucky in that I started as a kid when they were still available in circulation. From 1928 forward, my collection is all circulation finds-the rest I purchased or traded for.I also found one really good dealer to work with, and he helped me tremendously. I often wonder what I put back into circulation that was a duplicate! I think its always best to buy the keys first, as they are most apt to get up in price quicker. It's not going to be cheap, however. I also think an MS set might even be easier to put together if you have the bucks, because it's just a matter of paying for the coin. I wouldn't imagine too many collectors having duplicates in vf/xf. I have very few extras myself. Good hunting!!

awesome set-- I just started buff's
