I bid on some circulated NFLD material. I was surprised to see the prices so soft when that market has been so strong lately. An 1885 ten cent in ICCS EF-40 went for $450.
I could't believe it either when I saw that 1885 10 cent from Newfoundland go for less than half of trends! I was going to bid on it, but I had already surpassed my limit:)
I had bid on that one. I always put in bids before online auctions start to avoid impulse bidding. If I had thought that one would go so cheaply I would have placed a higher bid. But even that's no guarantee. Must hurt though if you're the consignor.
