Hmmm, that seems quite suspect considering he was wearing his 1996 WS ring at the Yankee's Old Timer's Day in late June of this year. Quote: And Torre, who was sporting his 1996 World Series ring - "It's the first one and there will never be another first one," he said - is part of that rich history. But returning to the scene of his greatest triumphs, Torre made it a point to credit his players - Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera, in particular - without whom he might not have been feted here Sunday and the Bombers still might be playing across the street.
"Without those two guys ... this ballpark certainly wouldn't have been built, with the contributions those two guys have made over the years," Torre said. "I wouldn't be sitting here wearing a World Series ring and I certainly wouldn't have been in pinstripes for 12 years if it wasn't for them."

Send me your email and I will gladly forward the email from AANTV. To try and satisfy your incessant pursuit. You are more of a pain than you are worth. Perhaps you should think about a respirator when working with chemicals. I also sent a message to Joe's foundation to see if it's real. I'll let you know if I hear anything there. The ring apparently had some belief of authenticity as it brought $6500 plus a 10% buyer's premium. That seems like a bargain to me. All of the replicas have Yankees on one side and Yankee Stadium on the other. This one had Torre cast into it on one side as I stated. All I know is what I saw and what the auction company has verified to me via email. If you don't like it, you know what you can do.

I didn't get any email from you or anyone else so I have no idea what you are blathering about but if taking potshots at me makes you feel better, then whatever. I have been civil here and never accused you of lying or anything else of the sort, I simply have no faith in the words of a TV huckster, but now I realize that you are incapable of civility...

The ring was back on last night. apparently the original buyer didn't pay. The ring as it turns out was the salesman's sample to show the team what their rings would look like. They made it as if it were Torre's actual ring. It is 14k gold with real diamonds and is an exact brother ring to Joe's ring. This was explained after I called them last night. Sorry for my rudeness, blut I was becoming pretty tired of a topic that took a bad turn.I also found that this ring sold on Worthpoint at one time, so there is a good description and photo of the ring there. If you would like the emails that I received from AANTV then PM me your email address. I'm going back into my padded room now. Have a magical day.

I can't figure out which one I like best, but they will be hard for me to sell. I had a guy offer me $2k cash for the pair today which would have been about a $300 profit but I said I couldn't. I wish I wasn't such a hoarder it is really hurting my liquidity. Thanks for the comments this board is the best one I belong to.

To be honest I don't know if I would have done $3K, they are just really cool IMO.

Interesting that the designs are so dramatically different with one crown being convex while the other is concave. Even though it is only the USFL, I think you should be able to get a premium for them as sports memorabilia but it has to be in a targeted venue. You found the one ring that Heritage Sports Auctions hammered so you may want to contact them to judge interest for auction placement, that may be the best way to maximize your profits. Another option would be to try and locate private buyers of sports memorabilia, some of them have websites dedicated to their collections.
