Very Nice Coin. Wow, I've never seen one like that before. ebay would be a good place to sell it. I sold an off-center '99 with Rev Cuds for $20+ not too long ago. I agree with Bio, $50+. Good Luck.

That coin is worth WAY WAY more than $50.00

It's probably worth more than $2.500.00

Check it out very carefully before you sell that coin and get it in a slab!

Is your coin a 2009D- if so its Wexler's 2009D WDDR-001 and a MAJOR double die!

Check this site and scroll down to the 2009D DDR-001.

*The coin is also worth way more than $50.00* (IMHO)

Yes, $50 is almost certainly on the low side. I came up with that number from completed sales of the other DC DDRs, that seemed to be the top end for them. I could not find any actual sales records of DDR-001 so I based my estimate on the top end of the others which DDR-001 would certainly exceed. I could see it selling for a few hundred dollars but I have serious doubts about $2500, I do not see this variety having the "push" behind it to reach a value like that. I would certainly love to see some data that proves me wrong though As far as I know, a population estimate has not been established yet and it is not listed in either the RedBook or Cherrypicker's Guide so it really lacks widespread recognition. With any luck, it will be listed in the next edition of the CPG which would certainly bring attention and increase value.

Bio:

I agree, I don't think it would be worth $2,500 but who knows, like you said there is very little recognition on this DDR.

I've found the 2009P DDR 004,007 & 009 but I sure would love to find this one!

Before you go and list your coin on ebay, here is another article on this coin.

I would suggest contacting Mr Weinberg, or Mr Potter etc and see if they could give you any further info regarding the value of this coin before you try and sell it.
