LOL- its all about layering the buying on the CC and ebay pre-sales, so I had most of them sold before I was even charged. I actually got too many by mistake because CP's online system cancelled my order (or so I thought) and then they opened them up again the following week, so I bought more. When I got the last 20 that weren't already sold I took them into Colonial Acres and although I got a lot less profit/coin I was able to sell them all off within the week. ****NOT RECOMMENDED! Needless to say it was more than a bit stressful for about 2 weeks there.

Thanks, I was able to keep one for myself so it worked out ok. The travel rewards on the CC help too.

I have a complete set of six of Australian gold proof $200 Pride of Australia coins. With the last three in this series, less than 5,000 were struck. Currently, they are worth little more bullion value. 9.167 grams AGW per coin.

Wettld, how much did Colonial buy them off you? Just wondering why they would do that unless you're selling below cost...

I purchased and am waiting to receive an 1860 Sydney Half Sovereign. It isn't the prettiest example ever but I'm led to believe that there are estimated to be approx 200-250 examples still existing.

I've got: 1 x 5oz penny (1/1500) 1 x 5 oz beaver (1/1500) and 2 x high relief queen (2/7500), plus I've got 2 x 1/25 oz gold penny (2/12000)... Which is close!

jakedacc: Google for 'Pride of Australia $200 gold coins' should yield the result you may be looking for.

DWS: I offered to split the profits w/ CA. So they sold them at around $575 and we each got $40 per coin.
