I beleive you have to be registered to buy directly from the mint. At that point you can make your request for sealed. I also imagine that you would have to make a reasonable size purchase to boot.

Thanks for the responses guys. I think I'll leave my sealed SMLs sealed. I don't want to destroy value!

the canadian silver bullion coins are prone to milk spotting, maple leafs and antelopes. the RCM seems to not care about this production issue.

Thanks for your answers regarding the sealed maple leafs. Would you guys happen to know what the seals from the older coins are made of? I read somewhere they might be PVC. I don't know if I should leave them in there or put them in airtites.

I'd leave them sealed, almost all my maples are sealed. You also save money on capsules. š'½

Here is what I do.... Since you cant find 2009 sealed...going after a full set mint sealed is beating a dead horse. Now I'm putting the set together again. I try and find sealed ones where I can since they have a better chance of being in good condition, cut them out and put them into capsules. Now this is for my personal collection. For all the others that I find sealed that is added to my stack and are available for re-sale, I leave them sealed as they are so I don't have to spend money on capsules and they are in original condition from the mint allowing me to try and collect an additional premium. That's me though. DYODD

Samsnate Did you try to put together the sealed privy set also. Do you know if they made the London bridge privy sealed, I have a sheet of brandenberg gate privys. From what I remember back then, I couldn't find one. Same goes for Pisa privys.
