First of all, ignore "clear S" vs. "filled S" for 1981- those terms are really only applicable to the 1979 issues where the difference is obvious. The 1981-S Type 1(filled) mintmark is actually the same mintmark as the 1979-S Type 2(clear) mintmark so you can "clearly" see that the terminology is problematic. The 1981-S Type 1 mintmark features small rounded serifs with oval shaped center loops while the Type 2 features large bulbous serifs with round center openings. See this link for clear pictures.

Second of all, your SBA looks like it is an uncirculated business strike, not a proof. It is lacking the polished fields and cameo devices typical of modern proof issues. 1979-1981 SBAs were the last business strike circulating-design coins struck at the San Francisco Mint with 1979 and 1980 issues placed in circulation while the 1981s were available in annual Mint Sets. All business strike 1981s had the Type 1 mintmark.

The pix of the one I think I have are a little better to see the serif bulbs with. Compare to your coin.

All business strikes have the type I mintmarks. Coinage was small and was completed before the mintmark punch was replaced on the proof coinage. Unless a very high end business strike it would retail for about $2-$3. As such a dealer would not pay more than about a dollar for it.
