Thanks echizento! Now I know the country and denomination. Thank you ! Thank you!

The year will tell me which KM#...... It is definitely NOT brass, but could be it could be the copper-nickel one. It is not magnetic, so that eliminates the steel version, correct?

So, the year has to be 1975, 1976 or 1977. But, which one?

First I wanted to help with the date, but then changed my mind - you can do it, it's the four characters right under the people.

Hint: it's none of the three you proposed. And look again at the non-magnetic thing.

I am so confused right now. I am using my date converter software and nothing is coming up to match. Don't know what I am doing wrong. Don't tell me this coin is brass, because it does not look brass at all. It looks like nickel on the outside or steel (but I thought steel coins were magnetic and this one is NOT).

I would have figured this coin out IF I COULD HAVE GOTTEN a date off of it, but I tried so many times, and I put it on this forum. I am not gonna tell you how many days I have been trying to figure it out. I kept putting it away and worked on others. Now, I cant do that anymore because this is the last coin I have to identify.

Svslav......... you gonna make me beg? Trust me, I have tried.

Are you telling me this coin is after the year 2000 ? My catalog stops at that year. The KM#s might not be right then.

I am not prepared for coins after the year 2000. grrrrrrrrrr

Looks like 1992 to me based on Bengali numbers.

OK.......... I guess it is 1992. Catalog says it is steel. How can it be steel and not be attracted to a magnet? Please explain that to me someone.

Date is 1992, try reading the Bengali number system.

Sorry, I had you hanging there, had to run.
In my Krause for KM# 9.2 it says, "Composition: steel. Note: non-magnetic"

You understand, Lady, I was trying to "teach a man to fish"?

Not all steel is magnetic. For example, your kitchen sink is probably stainless steel and isn't magnetic, and you kitchen knives are probably stainless steel and are magnetic. It has (mostly) to do with the composition of the steel (which metals were used to create it).

I was fishing....... I sure was. I fished and fished for about 3 days. Then I realized my pole was broken. But I still tried to fish. I wanted you to fix my pole OR to give me the tools to fix it. But, you just told me to fish again. Next time, you are going to have to take me by the hand and show me how to hold the pole and jiggle the bait.

I forgive you.......... this time, svslav. grrrrrrr
