While the walking Liberty is one of the most beautiful designs ever on a US coin along with St. Gauden's incredible work on the Double Eagle, I think my very favorite has to be the Drapped Bust Halfs.

My favorite, Miss Walking Liberty, is left out. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.

I primarily collect silver halves in all types but if I had to list preference they would go: Walking liberty Followed by seated Then Bust and then Franklin I am not attached to the Barber as the design is rather plain to me.

I'm glad I'm not the only who doesn't care that much for Barbers. It may be sacrilege to say, but the Barber seems to me uninspired. Now the Walker on the other hand--I really like the way a Walker becomes highlighted when it's got a nice patina. And as for Franklins: They lack the ridges and crevices to hold a patina in an interesting way. Besides, who wants gaze admiringly at an old bald dude?

Tough to beat a beautiful women in a flowing dress with the sun rise behind her. Franklins are cool because Ben was the man, and I like his hair. For some reason I also like Kennedy's, probably because I was at an impressionable age when he and his brother were killed. I consider him a hero.

, Capturedyou! I voted for the pre-1964 Kennedy, because if I had a roll of them, I could retire.

Where's the Seated Liberty choice? I saw Proof Seated Liberty once and it was absolutely stunning. Nothing short of magnificent! Unfortunately, I forgot to rob a bank before going to the coin show...

I'm partial to Bust halves and Seated halves. Unless I'm buying junk silver, in which case I prefer '64 Kennedy's or Franklins since they tend to be less worn.
