To those who received their rolls, did yours have a UPC sticker across the front of the wrapper?

Yes a little bit picky, but I'm not sure why it was stuck there instead of on the back of the roll particularly since one of the selling points of the roll is the 'special illustrated paper' wrapping.

I received 5 rolls today. all have UPC stickers.

my plan is to break 2-3 rolls and use them as part of my kids' birthday party goodie bag. Hopefully I can turn half of the receivers into 50 cent collectors

:) Can I come to the party? I'll leave as soon as I receive my goodie bag, so you don't have to prepare my slice of the cake. haha

It's kind of embarrassing to admit that I only have one 50 cents piece. Though I own a few American halves.

@silverbug I assume the UPC is a dealer add on and that the roll that you got from the mint does not have the sticker. Is that correct?

If so, this is strike 3 for me. This is the smallest of the three but I have had a problem with every order that I have placed with them.

My Mint roll didn't have the UPC.
I have 5 dealer rolls that have UPC and one of the rolls was opened at one end :(

Thanks for the confirmation coin_games. I was pretty sure the UPC was from the dealer since I like to think the Mint wouldn't be so careless.

Kind of ironic that the dealer highlights on their website:

"Packaging: Coins are wrapper in a special illustrated paper."

and then they destroy that paper with an ugly sticker.

Buyer beware.

CC-Ottawa: my roll from RCM HAS UPC sticker, at exact the same position as the ones from colonialacres.

Amaths: you are welcome to join the party, if you don't mind the noise from a room of 8 years old...

my plan part 2 is on their birthday, I will bring a blue UA 50C album with a 1968 50 cent nicely inserted in the first slot...

@silverbug Thanks. That is good information.

So I guess I'm wrong that the dealer did this and was too quick to get on the soapbox.

I guess I'm just left to shake my head at why anyone would do this.

Thanks for the offer, SilverBug. :) I'll think about it.

Finally my 5 rolls arrived today. Each of them has a bar code sticker on. They came in a black plastic container with a RCM logo on top and measures in 6.5in*4.5in*1.5in. Does anyone know what is that for?

Thanks. Good to know. I guess the dealer has too many of them and reuses them as packing material.
