I just do not understand why a 50 Cent Coloured Coin is more wanted then the nice $10 PURE Silver Titanic

"Rare" is ridiculously overused on ebay. Still, 15,000 is rarer than 20,000, and I can see it as a potential $500 retail within the year. I remember when the
Head spaghetti bender in Rome came out with an under $20 yurro set, we sold several of them from $300-400, and could have sold more if we could have gotten them.

We ordered a roll of the plated copper issues from Downer's @ $49 a pop, confirmed one evening and cancelled the next morning. Anyone wanna make a quick $15 on yours?

Do not understand why it got 'Rare' & SOLD OUT for Silver-Plated Coin that is 1 oz of copper!
is it because it is 50 Cent Coloured Coin...it had mintage of 15,000 not that much off from 20,000 of $10 PURE Silver Titanic Coin!

The half is a large crown, larger than an ASE. The $10 is slightly bigger than a half dollar, and just a hair over a half ounce of silver.

Using issue prices, for $34.95, you get a big impressive silver plated proof crown.

For $30 more, you get $17 worth of silver in a much smaller coin.

Received my $10 Titanic coin today from Canada Post. I agree with the others that it looks even better in person. The iceberg really stands out to look almost white. Very pleased.

There were only 5,000 of the fifty cent coins released at $34. The Mint allocated the remaining 10,000 of the fifty cent mintage to Canada Post sets, which you have to pay $149 to get the coin (and the quarter coin) and some stamps with little value(not many stamp collectors anymore). Thus the floor is now $149 on the fifty cent coin.

There were only 5,000 of the fifty cent coins released at $34...I did not know only 5,000 allowed for sale.
The Mint allocated the remaining 10,000 of the fifty cent mintage to Canada Post sets.
did anyone know this was going to happen?
$149 seems over-priced to get the coin (and the quarter coin) and some stamps with little value.
you are right, not many stamp collectors anymore... sometimes I get stamps for under face value on ebay

Not to digress too much but my parents have a bookshelf that is made of the wood from the Samson - the "mystery ship" - that may or may not have been nearby when the Titanic sank. I have always been intrigued by the Titanic story.
