I had always thought the China stuff was a stealth/backroom deal. I had no idea it was so out in the open.

So let me get this straight for about 1,500 US$ you can get shipped to your door 1000 ASE s ( fake ) and you can order 1,000,000 PER YEAR! ohhhh my My ;"stealth/backroom " guy is going to be ever so mad as the Chinese may put him out of business ( he's from Hong Kong ) Seriously I use counterfeits to test our line of detection equipment. I had not seen that link before Thank You erkle

Obviously, these guys don't see anything wrong with what they are doing. Their marketing suggests that. It also appears that there are no laws to stop them from making these things.
In other product areas, the Chinese are quite capable to manufacturing anything to customer order at the quality level specified by the customer.
Mercedes-Benz makes all models of their current E-Class in China, except the AMG specials, which are still made in Germany. The quality of the Chinese made E-Class cars are exactly the same as the German ones.

Damn, that's shocking, isn't that idiot Rudd our foreign minister...no that's right, he quit because he thought he had a chance of becoming PM...knob, then again he'd probably be in on it.
Then again good luck trying to get them into the country...but they are considered souvenirs. Just plain baffling.

The photos in the first link--is it possible they are photos taken by the RAM? I suspect you won't get exactly what is pictured. In any case, it's a crime.

Quote: I suspect you won't get exactly what is pictured. Indeed, if you get anything at all. I will not be testing to see what the product is like. Basically only one use for some of these coins -fraud; but why 20ยข? Maybe they do notes too. Jeff

I live in Wenzhou where this coin is made, can't say Wenzhou is known for its fakes, more for its shoes.

I wonder how likely is it that its all a scam and there are actually no coins produced? After all, how many people would go to the authorities after being ripped of while attempting to purchase counterfeit currency?
