Nicwinner,
Round 50c are sometimes given out by bank branches, though I think it is pretty rare.
Someone reported bring given 70 a few days ago. They must have been stashed somewhere and the branch staff did not get around to disposing of them.
It has never happened for me.

firstly thanks for the reply enworb and ozcoins :)

"It has never happened for me."

yes, for me as well. I tried few years ago when round 50 cent worth 3 bucks ea, in that time my local bank staffs already knew round 50 cent have silver content :( they even recommend me the dealer who will pay higher price...

"A member picked up 70 last week from the bank."

lucky guy! I mean it's reasonable to find out 1 or 2 pieces if cash out a 200 calico bank bags but found 70 pieces in one shot! that must be lucky!

Nicwinner,
I got $200 of 50c from the bank today. They came in rolls from the company "chubb".
One of the rolls had a round 50c in it.
I would not have expected to find one so it was a nice surprise.

It was not a bank bag, the coins came from "chubb" to the branch so any branch could have received it....

I get bags of loose coins from my bank, bag them into those plastic money bags and exchange them for loose ones again. so my bagged coins would be sent to shops and the coins I'm getting back are from the coin counting machine :)

I got the point.
It was that he can get and return coins to one branch and still be sure that they have not been searched yet.
