Could this be the start of NoodleFrenzy? The winner from one has to name the start and end date of the next NoodleFrenzy. ...and provide the prize! (value not important, winning, of course, against your peers is.) Honour system is in place. The start (announcement) date must be at least three days before a Saturday and the duration of the frenzy must be between two and four days. This is basically a weekend competition. Results to be posted prior to midnight on the day of the end of the frenzy. Time differences will be taken into account. To confirm validility of the starting stock, the previous winner could suggest a photo of the stock with a quotation / item. i.e. Photo of stock + the numbers 2345, or photo of stock with a 1966 20c wavey incuse on top ;-) The winner will be decided by voting. Open vote. Of course, this could mean that people could get noodle stock from the bank when they had spare cash and then a frenzy was announced that they had time to play in then they could enter... I am away to start stock piling Any ideas / suggestions welcome

Maybe think about a $ limit and you can pick your own denominations within that limit, or a set stockpile (eg everyone starts with the same set of coins) - just as a twist some of the time?

Yes. I like this idea. Not everybody (me included) can afford to splash out $100's / $1000's of cash even if it is only for a short period. $100 sounds feasible. We could have several variations : 1) $100, set denominations. 2) $100, any denominations. 3) Free for all.

Another idea. Midweek noodling eg starting with no coins at 10:00am (when the banks are all open) on Monday morning and finishing at 4pm Friday afternoon Those without a lot of spare cash can rotate money at the bank.

...or even just make it that the person offering the prize sets the terms for that round - that should hopefully cater to all tastes, all habits and all budgets?

FNQ, Sure. I was just suggesting different ideas that the person setting the rules might like to use. Of course there will be other ways to do it and the person running the competition can do what they like. I will be offering a set of 50c Centenary of Federation state coins in an upcoming noodling competition. Not sure when or what rules yet, but hopefully that is something to look forward to.

....That should give me time to find my eyeglass. Got two of them in the house. Also got two kids.
2 magnifiers + 2 Children = trip to shop.
