This may sound stupid, and I cannot really visualize it totaly, but have you thought about doing away with the denticles and putting 50 smaller stars around the circumference?

Similiar to the $20 St Gaudens......

>>>But don't pay any attention to me, I guess I've got a foot phobia because I don't like anyones feet......not even my own.

HAHa!
You sure don't want to see my foot right now (broke my ankle in three places a few weeks ago) !

I could try that. I did it once on this coin (even had 100 stars around the rim on the reverse):

My thinking is that since you are modernizing Miss Liberty, you could also correct the current state count with stars. Maybe the 13 Rays like in the earlier post, with 50 stars.....

I also like the forward facing Liberty much better. My neck hurt looking at the rear facing one......

Did the hundred stars symbolize one hundred cents or one hundred states at the culmination of our global domination (the globe is a nice touch)?

I guess I'm in the sandals camp too.

Here I go again...I seem to like the original pose better for some reason. Perhaps if you bent her arm upward just slightly on the second pose? It looks too straight and awkward to me and tiresome. I'd have to see the sandals idea to give another of my not so humble sometimes, opinions.

She must have invested in a lot of double-sided tape to keep that top in place!
I really like the Sunrise, plain-rays, not denticulated, no anklet, and longer hair.
Matched with the Eagle reverse, no circle, not denticulated.
Absolutely beautiful! Very lovely designs, DCarr.

I tried the sandals that lace up the legs - didn't look right at all.
These simple sandals look better I think:

Ta da! I like the sandals! But, her feet still look too big. Folks were not as tall back then as we are now - ok the exception of Lincoln but, the ladies were rather tiny in comparison. Her feet look out of proportion to me.

Daniel...sometimes you just have to go with your own gut feeling!

Love the last update! I guess her feet are kinda big, but being blessed with big feet myself I don't mind... I'd be six feet tall if I didn't have so much turned up on the ends. Anyways, it's a beautiful coin, and I'd be happy to own one if you decide to mint some!

Maybe the model is Peggy Hill's relative.

HaHa that is a funny show.

PS: I did some more tweaking and decided that the foot wasn't really to "big", it was just a bit too long (seven one-thousandths of an inch too long, in fact). Will fix it in the next version.

I am not a designer, so spacing is way off, but this was what I tried to evision. probably would look better without the denticles.

While I'm not a big fan of a lot going on in the fields, I actually kind of like the stars Morganman. I think with the correct spacing as you stated, these would look very nice.
