The 1972 10c is actually quite hard to find.

Nothing more than 20c unless they are in great condition. Check if the 1966 is a wavy vairety. Very Very unlikely but if it was the probably worth anywhere upwards of $100

First up I dont think I've said oh my florin. Like the name! UNC examples are scarce so can demand a premium. As you found today its quite easy to find them in circulation and because of that they are only worth the 20c printed on the reverse. You might find someone crazy who will pay slightly above fave value... maybe 30c? but not likely. Maybe others disagree?

Depends on denomination obviously but there are many things. I think you have already seen a list of the 50c worth keeping in another thread. I will contribute a 20c list: 1966 wavy (no prizes for guessing this one) 1971 1983-1993 (good luck!) 2001 Federation 2004 large head Any 'gap' reverses (i dont keep these but should start looking for them)
I was keeping 2003 volunteers but have stopped because I have way to many. I'm sure some people also keep the 1995 and 2001 bradman coins but I dont bother.

Here are my results. I only managed $200 of 50c - life got in the way of getting the other $50 I have not documented properly, so the highlights from memory are 5 * 2000 royal visit (this was a surprise these are usually less common) 3 * 1970 captain cook 6 * 2001 state coins 2 (or 3) * double bars 1 * 1981 royal wedding (very nice) 1 * 1977 jubilee (very nice) 2 * 2005 robe Cud1 * 2005 large chin Cud1 * Cud on lips 1 * 1985 2 * 1997 2 * 2001 doubling on 50 2 * 2001 doubling on lettering of "Australia" several 2010 Australia Day. I am not sure how many were made of these, so I am keeping them for the moment. Not sure which ones I have forgotten. Nothing really outstanding, but a reasonable result. I was hoping for an incuse flag, but that didnt happen. I hope it is not in the next $50 I search!

Well, the noodling weekend was not without success for me, though not the "grand success" that I had originally hoped for. No "incused 50 cents" to add to the one I already have No "wavy 20 cent" piece (ditto) No $1/10 cent 2000 mule I have attached a pic of my findings. A 1978 50 cent piece with cracked planchet. A 2005 50 cent piece with " Cud on the greatcoat" / "foot Cud" of the soldier. 20 cents - volunteers, also Centenary of Federation for New South Wales and Norfolk Island. 50 cents - Centenary of Federation for Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria. Squire

Thanks FNQ, I will just keep some really nice ones and return most of them. I would take them out of my post, but then your response would look strange. I got to go through the coins I kept and there were a few more, but still nothing that really stands out (I would have remembered for my previous post). There were actually 6 1980 double bars which seems fairly high! How did everyone else go? I hope someone has found something nice like an incuse flag, wavy or mule - or maybe all three!

I can't decide who to vote for. I went through: $5 of 5c (100) $10 of 10c (100) $40 of 20c (200) $20 of 50c (40) $50 of $1 (50) and found some interesting coins, but no photos taken yet, but they will be happening as soon as I buy a digital microscope tomorrow. What caught my eye, after going through a heap of 10c coins for the first time, were the number of double strikes. I found 19 10c coins from 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008 with obvious double strikes on the reverse side. One had a nice Cud as well. I guess this has been noted before, but I haven't read all of the old postings on this site yet. I was also intrigued by two 5c coins, 1998 and 2008, and both had a distinct inner circle impression within the rim. I'll try to post piccies tomorrow night after I buy my Kaiser Baas scope (sweet!). I'm thinking they might be a new type of mule with a smaller coin from some other commonwealth currency that is produced at the mint? Probably dreaming - but will be interested to see what you all think.
