Yes! I've just had an ebay listing go past the 12hour threshhold. I emailed the seller a few days ago asking if he had any more of the same ie. Byzantine cup coins (hoard material)and he said no and he would probably end the listing early as his mate wanted them......not with my 99p bid on and 11hrs 58mins left to go he wont....

ThisIsFun you can buy and have roman coins, but I dont know about taking coins through airport scanner. It should be forbidden but my friend from USA took some coins(about 50) with him. You should be able to take coins with you by bus, train or boat without any problem,i know many of them whos doing that. Of course, you dont show them on border :)

Caesar381, do you have a website for sales outside Serbia, or do you have to do all your business in the country? If so that must be very very restrictive.....? Most of my coins sold through internet sites go to the US and more and more are heading for eastern Europe as well nowadays. Australian buyers have some too, especially the URBS Roma types for some reason.

I need to do my buisness only in Serbia, but like I said... if someone come to my country he buys and take coins to his country. I dont break any rules and he takes coins on his own... I have many colectors interested but only problem is they need to come and take. If you know you will get 10k euros worth coins for 5k euros probably it would be worth even to pay airplane ticket but is there people ready to risk? I dont think so...
East Europe buying coins? I cant believe that... we have enough roman coins to supply America, Australia and Africa for next 20 years at least :)

There are many websites from which you can buy ancient coins. For my own information, I made a page with links to most of them:

http://augustusmath.hypermart.net/dealers.html

Minor dealers come and go frequently, so it may miss some new pages and may have some discontinued pages, but it was pretty close to right recently.

I tried to send coins to US... and they were received :) I sent them to my friend in California. Tip: you can send coins as letter heavy up to 20 grams ;) I can even do free shipping for buyers all over the world!
