I think the 2009 moon coin will go up to $300+ and we will probably see another sun coin soon.
My 2 cents.

Looking at mine which I've known has always been worth more than issue price but only now considering possibly selling it. Only kept it for sentimental reasons and am in no rush to rid myself of it.

The certificate # (03245) means very little in relation to the coin but the selling price for it is all over the place. Anyone know why there were only 2834 minted?

$140-400? Made the mistake of selling the ladybug coin too early and while I nearly doubled my money should have stuck it out.

For now, I'm debating on whether to stick to $200, hold for $300, sell it in a club auction or wait for the next (is there a series?) related NCLT to come out that will push it over the edge.

People just were not interested in the coin when it came out in 2009 so the mint didn't follow through on minting the original intended mintage.

The coin wasn't popular, so the "final" mintage is low.
I bought mine year ago, wasn't impressed by the coin, but wanted to obtain some "rare" coin, specially prior release of 2013 Grandmother mask.
Paid for it ~ CAD 180 + shipping, and this was great price that time.
So I believe $200.00 is good price to sell the coin.

Let's see, what will be the new 2014 design.

Thanks, CC-Ottawa.
I just forgot, that the release is so close, that people started to list the coins using CP catalogue images.

As all previous designs, this one depicts the mask. Beautiful, nice, interesting or ugly - it just a mask crafted as raised relief on the silver surface of the coin. That why I like them - similar to the "Lakes" series, it just "something else", not commemorative or wild life item.

I will be steering clear from that new moon mask coin. It looks weird with the writing on the left/right sides of the coin and the matriarch isn't quite the most attractive face I've seen, but to each their own if someone wants it!

Yingyang great score, I have the 2013 &2014. I love these coins, to me they're real works of art. I was able to get the 2013 for $115shipped. I'm looking for the 2009 summer moon mask & 2010 the sun at reasonable prices. They will make a very nice set. I like the 2014 way better than 2013 one. I wish I had the disposable income to chase the gold versions of the earlier gold colour masks very beautiful coins my Arizona buddy has them, outstanding coins.

Again congrats on your find!!

These are very nice coins indeed. I'm very impressed. I just sold the 2014 grandmother yesterday on ebay.
I still have the 2009 Summer moon mask. I'm asking $249.99 at the moment. If any member wants it let me know @ AriSilverCoins.

I'm thinking about keeping now after hearing the low mintage ;)

Great find!
In the April of 2013 I was so happy to get it for issue ($149)

Later, was in hope, that it will follow the path of 2009 by it non-popularity, but no....all mintage has been bought.

Silveroid, look how long it took for 2009 mask to gain in popularity. It may take the same length of time for the other masks to be appreciated by collectors, don't give up hope. I absolutely adore the 2014 mask. I wish I had the spare funds to get it in gold. The gold version is stunning, I saw it on the coin show. The 2014 may end up lower Mintage, as it's still in stock at RCM, maybe those will be melted?
