ANA - Here is your weekly roundup of the top stories in the hobby. What's making headlines this week:

After passing the Senate last month, the Common Cents Act passed the House earlier this week. The legislation formally eliminates the cent and allows the testing of new materials for the nickel.

The Central Bank of Samoa (CBS) has issued 20,000 commemorative 100 Tala bank notes marking Queen Elizabeth II's 100 birth year and remembering her visit to Samoa in 1977.

A 1914 Proof Lincoln Cent sold for a record-breaking $195,200 in a Heritage Auctions sale, surpassing its previous record of $126,500.

The Monnaie de Paris is selling €9.50 firefighter solidarity mini-medals. The mint will donate €7 from each medal sold to the families and orphans of fallen firefighters.
