I hope that Colonial Acres or Gatewest or even Talisman gets this shark coin. I want one too!

You will never see them at gatewest or colonial but it should be available at talisman in a few weeks the first 2 just don't deal in many world coins like other dealers. Lots of pre sales on ebay the highest so far that I have seen went for almost $180

@ elkslayer132, I don't know maybe. There is plenty of Aussie stuff there as it is. Time will tell. There is even a New Zealand Mint section. http://colonialacres.com/products.php?cat=1198Not much to see unless you like turtles or Star Wars. :)

@jpaiva83, part of that NZ section is the 'star wars' coins were also distributed by the Royal Canadian Mint which I'm sure is why Colonial Acres has them. I just didn't understand the high price on the Star Wars items.

Interesting notice from New Zealand mint:
PLEASE NOTE - the artwork supplied on this page is not the final coin design. We will post the final photography of the coin prior to it being available for purchase.

The group-buy thread in the redflagdeals forum also talked about that. They are saying that NZMint is going to reduce the number of tooth marks from 7 to 4 because of technical issue during production.

Quote: Out of curiosity, anyone know why this thread is happening in the Canadian commemoratives section vs. the World coins section? Am I missing something? Perhaps because, even though this thread is two months old and six pages long, nobody even once ever clicked on the "Send note to staff" button and asked that it be moved? Several times I'd spotted it and thought it should be moved, but I got distracted by spam attacks or other things that needed moderatorizing. My apologies for not acting earlier; I shall move it as soon as I've done posting this.

For those that thought I'd run off to Vegas with the 40k in deposits I got for the Group Buy I ran on RFD.....
The Koi's arrived last week and I have already distributed about half of them :).

The NZ Mint page just says "coming soon". They won't let you place orders on it yet.

I got a mint email saying you can order it now. $160 US + shipping. It doesn't look as good with only half the bitemarks, that aren't jagged toothmarks (like the original drawing showed). As someone said they look like donut holes. Pass...

Pre-order is on again, got an email, and my order is in - with November delivery. The killer - $199 NZ + $48 shipping. for a 1 ounce coin - it is officially the most I've paid for a 1 ounce silver coin.
