Nice display Sap!

Sap,

What do you used to hold the coin in place?

Sap: Since you have gone to some trouble writing up notes on each coin, would it be possible to photograph each coin / note pair, and post it?

Perhaps we may all be able to learn a little, not just those who were able to attend the show.

Ta!

Blu-tack. Since it was only going to be a temporary display, blu-tack was less likely to be damaging than the traditional nails or tacks. I wouldn't use it on a permanent display, since blu-tack is likely to be loaded with sulfur which would cause a tarnish spot.

I did take some closer-up pics just in case the words weren't readable on the wide view:

Sap's-

Sap's-
I like to make my displays appealing to as wide an audience as possible, not just to the collector of world and/or ancient coins. The trick is to find the balance between "informative" and "too wordy". This one might have been a touch too wordy.

Sap's-
It was nice to include a "public service announcement" in the display too. If it stops even one tourist being disappointed that their "rare coins they bought in Greece" were fakes, then that would be a job well done.

If you want better views of the coins themselves, you'll have to wait a couple of weeks.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

We don't get to see a lot of your coins Sap. I suppose in times past you were a regular on this forum. So it is a pleasure to see some of your coinage. Especially how it was laid out in this display. Very nice!

Thank you for sharing and congratulations on Second place.
