MS63/64///

scratches on the cheek are probably the only thing I can see bringing this down from a 65/66

also slight rub on the lower hair portion.

im no morgan expert, but its just what these eyes see

MS-64+ from I can see of the obverse, great color. How does the back look?

Nice toning and luster - the hit on the cheek will drag it down. I think it will still make MS-64

If I was buying it, I would buy it comfortably at the MS-64 range but not the MS-65 range.

So my guess is MS-64

Take away that cheek and she's a MS66. I like her at MS64. Those hits are deep, and in that area, they're distracting.

Told you she was MS66 without that cheek. They just didn't like the cheek less than I didn't like it. In all fairness, they had it in-hand, though, too, so, congrats on the grade!

overgraded for resale. MS63, maybe $65. . The hits on the face are really distracting It looks like she has a beard. 65+, no way! This coins saving grace is the strike, it must have been one of first......Perfect example of TPG misgrading...Sorry?

Agreed. I have an 1879-S that looks way nicer that only went MS-63.
