I should get a cpl more 500 dollar bags tomorrow. If I don't get anything this time, I might just give it up and stick with pennies.

Raymo, that's what happened with me. I got a couple $500 boxes, and quickly gave up after never finding a silver or even a proof. They were too hard to dump, so I just went back to my nickels. If I had 1/2 the success of the OP I would have stuck with it.

Raymo - I've had very little luck looking through bags of half dollars. Boxes really are hit or miss.
NYBrian - I'm about to give up on Nickels, they are time consuming but I am finding keepers.
Thanks for the comments and for checking to the video and my blog. I am currently working on a nickel sorting video, and perhaps a full length (multi-box) half search. I'll put them up later this week.

Raymo that means a lot so thank you! It's a new camera so I wasn't sure how to focus it.
I nearly completed the nickel video, but because it took longer to sort the coin, the video may not appear to be one fluid movement (start - finish). So not sure if it'll be as enjoyable. I have decided to add a better 'money shot' at the end of the video.

Money shot... No, it's not silver but I didn't have one so it was a nice buy for 50 cents.

I have been finding a lot of foreign coin in the bank wrapped half dollar rolls. Sadly none of them have been silver.

That could be a good thing if you working on your dark side collection. No so much if you are a silver stacker. Personally, I would be thrilled to get a foreign coin, even if I was shorted by it.

I hold all of the foreign coins. Though I'm not particularly interested in them.

Good idea. I am sure you will be able to trade or sell them at some point in the future.

I'm all for finding foreign coins. I just don't like the ones I'm getting. They are all 1980's and newer. I always read of people getting british large cents. Now those would be fun to find.

I have tried to get banks to put aside foreign change for me. They get so much I would love to tap that resource.
