The coin entry time has ended. IT IS OVER!! Now the fun begins as it is now time to vote for what you think is the best coin(s) and then see the total results at the voting deadline. Speaking of deadlines; The voting period is going to be much shorter than the coin entry period. That being said, the new voting deadline will be Tomorrow at 10PM EST -04:00 GMT, Monday, July 23, 2012. THE RULESThere are three medal categories. Gold, Silver and Bronze. Only one voted coin per medal. Voting for your own coin is not allowed. At the end of the voting period the points will be tallied up in a grand total as in previous SMACKDOWNs. POINTSGOLD = 3 points SILVER = 2 points BRONZE = 1 point One last thing. I would appreciate it if none of us talks about anything to do with the possible next SMACKDOWN contest. We will discuss such issues after the voting period is over. This is so not to distract us from discussing the coins and of course the winners and losers. Thank you! And now, for the big question again. ARE YOU READY!? The entries: Gil-galad: 2 coins DVCollector: 1 dougsmit: 2 maridvnvm: 2 stevex6: 2 jwharper: 2 ValiantKnight: 2 Doucet: 2 TJsCoins: 2 That's a total of 17 coins to vote on. May the best coin win!

Here we go, a lot of tough choices as I liked all the coins. But of course, a decision must be made. GOLD: maridvnvm: #1 - The Amazon Kyme, Aeolis, AR Tetradrachm, 165 - 140 B.C. SILVER: jwharper: #1 - Venus - Julius Caesar - Carthage, 47-46 BC BRONZE: Doucet: #2 - Tanit - Zeugitana, Carthage AE 21, 8.2g

This is a tough vote. There are some coins on here that may not be the best to look at, but are rare to see at all. Then there the beautiful coins with images of beautiful women. And lastly, there are beautiful coins of not so beautiful women. What criteria am I going to use to select my winners? Hmmmm. 1. Gold goes to maridvnvm's number 1 coin, the Amazon Kyme Tet. Beautiful! 2. Silver goes to Steve6x's (Jerry's)number 2 coin, the Neapolis AR Nomos. Once again beauty has won me over. 3. Bronze then must go to DVC's lone entry of the Syracuse Litra with the bust of Artemis. Again, it's the beauty I was swayed by, not the rarity.
