Bmoney, Congrats! I truly am envious. Are you suggesting that your method will work anywhere? I'd love to hear more details especially if you have some super secret way to deposit coin. Based off the few details you provided, I don't think it will be helpful to most of us that have issues with fees when we dump coin. People that can wrap/count/stack/bundle coins in measurable containers aren't the one's having issues with fees.

My favorite bank called me about an hour ago and asked if I was interested in $350+ worth of customer wrapped pennies that just came in.

15 minutes later I was at the bank with my large leather bag!

The nice teller had already set aside $80 for me and I decided to take another $80 off their hands.

The back story is that a local church ran a penny drive during their annual vacation bible school. They have so many that it is taking the volunteers weeks to count them all.

Carrying the bag out of the bank took a lot of strength but I managed to get it in my car. Of course it was so heavy that the passenger seat belt warning went off!

I agree on the location part.

I suppose this thread was intended to be sarcasm as content is fairly obvious, but the problem I face, as I have mentioned in other posts is that my pick-up bank does not want the pennies back.
They will be up to their elbows in pennies soon enough this fall.

I don't see smaller banks rushing to buy coin counters now that the penny is discontinued.

So rolled or not, dumping is slightly challenging for me. I would love to just swap "box for box".

I'm confident I could go in there during peak hours, deposit loose change into my checking, then purchase a new box from my savings etc. It's not much faster or easier, once you factor in the social awkwardness of my particular situation.

My tellers already have bundles of 10 rolls in their drawer, most of them from me, I can see my marks on the rolls.
I tried.

Heck they almost got in a catfight the last time I asked for a box. They teller beside mine overheard my order and said, "I have almost a full box right here" She proceeded to start unloading onto her counter.
They were all my old ones that have been there for weeks.

She said "A little old lady brought them in this morning". I was a little disappointed she would make a bold faced lie like that.
I did find it kinda humorous though.
