I got a chance to look at this under a loupe....all the markers are there on the obverse and the reverse.....The Die crack over the ALF on the reverse is tough....im seeing between the L and F but not certain above the A ....everything else is there as far as I can tell.....there are some light hairlines under a loupe indicative of a cleaning....not otherwise noticable.

That picture is misleading as the lighting etc is showing a coin that is ms64-65.

Sorry about the picture....the details are correct...i changed my light set up....added a third light source and believe the extra lighting washed out the hairlines.....they are extremely light

Gna say xf to au until I see better pics. I have seen lighting like that make a coin look higher in grade than it actually was.
Why is this coin still raw?

Based on what the dealer said he had it graded by anacs before they started slabbing....had a net grade...something like that but the coin has never been attributed....ill shoot the coin again tomorrow

OK I couldn't sleep so I took some more pictures. This is a good lesson on how lighting can play tricks with coins. I removed my halogen light source.....then kind of muted it to show the hairlines....the luster is there just not apparent in these pictures....If you take the first ones and combine with these....thats roughly the luster. I believe these pictures show the die cracks a bit better as well.

With the new pics, I can say with certainty that this is a JR10. Unfortunately, I do now see the signs of cleaning, which change the grade this coin will receive to UNC details. If you are going to get it slabbed, check with the company to see if they recognize Jules Reiver variety numbers. It would be very nice to have the variety number on the slab, especially since this one is so rare.

Not taking the variety in to account. What would you consider the FMV to be on this coin given that it gets UNC details....or AU details.....if its AU it's a 58 I really don't see any wear on the coin. I'm debating having it slabbed and need to see if the numbers compute.

Not sure I agree that there are signs of a cleaning. I do see a few hairlines but they are not present across the whole surface.
Definitely no traces of wear so, at worst, this would be an UNC details coin

Likely high AU, can't tell anything else with the pics.
