Thats not a bad BIN price at all. See just tell her the 65 is like your Tahoe lol.
Theres a lot of great ways to try and sell it with that info and I like to think Santa always rewarded himself for a job well done

HAHA she is easily convienced. I went to the mail box last night around 4:30ish b/c I saw where my ebay tracking number said it had arrived. So I put my shoes on and my wife is like.. where you going? She didn't know I had bought another coin. So I go get the mail, and she takes a look at it and its an 1885O. She asked me what was so special about it, and I told here that I was born in 1985, and I thought it would be cool to own a coin 100 years before my birth. What does she do? She says.. I want one for 1886, so I end up going back on ebay last night til around 10pm, and I finally win one on auction for her. Hope to get it in mail by friday. So I am sure if I put together some sort of sales pitch she will come right along for the ride. :) Yeah no kidding on tahoe payments, I could buy a carson city every month and then some if it wasnt for those jokers!!

Lol there you go. Just start finding ways like that to tie into something for you or her and before you know it youll have a complete set.
If you get creative enough you could find something for every year
I do the same thing checking the mail all the time when I'm expecting a coin. The worst is when you go out and its not there.

Thanks for the insight, Bryan. I also agree with Fenton; we don't seem to discuss the grey sheet enough. Learned a good deal from this thread, thanks. And thanks to jm20 for the complement.

Amen on that one!! Thats what I try to do, find something every year, or something that during that period of time that I can relate to.
I agree!! It's always a slower walk back to the house when that coin you been waiting on wasn't in the mail box, but for me its a full sprint back when I got it in my hand.
Like a kid at christmas!!

Thanks Drsandman2. I just enjoy chatting with folks who like the same things that I do. I remember going into the coin store that I bought over 95% of my coins from and that guy was always pulling out his dealersheet, which I see now was the grey sheet.
basebal21 and I have had a great conversation. Great guy. I really enjoy this website. I am on it all the time, but come next month I start my job as a Army Drill Sergeant, so my time on here will be decreased dramatically. Long days and hours with that job. So I am trying to enjoy the most of it now as I can.
You folks are great! Thanks for sharing your stories, and wisdom with newbies like myself.

If I could sprint it would be the same for me. I end up opening it up during the walk back being impatient.
Theres no lonelier/longer walk than when it didnt arrive.
The absolute worst is when you see the tracking information and it gets to your post office on saturday but you know it wasnt early enough to go out that day and have to wait until monday. I actually no longer enjoy sundays because of that lol

HAHA!! That kills me. My wife is over here laughing beside me. We think alike when it comes to coin day in the mail box. It's only funny because its true. I am waiting on that coin I just bought here coming in from Florida. We live in South Carolina, so it should just be a quick drive up I-95. I will have to get a good picture of it when it comes in!

Im in VA myself and unfortunately the best dealer I know of for one of the sets I'm working on is in Wyoming. Great prices but the ship wait is brutal.
Come to think of it it seems like almost everything I end up getting comes from the west coast or very close to it. The only positive side is USPS figured out its cheaper if they just throw everything on a plane coast to coast no matter the shipping level so the CA coins usually comes pretty quick. Those states that arent quite on the coast lead to some brutally long road trips for my babies. I just hope they enjoy seeing the country along the way

Thats cool your east coast guy too then. Yeah on California. That is quiet a way from VA for sure. I just happen to buy the best deal, and so far the guy who I have bought from is in Florida.

Quote: If I remember correctly MS-63's were selling around the 150.00 range and now they are lucky to break 100.00 each time A few days back I saw one of the "TV hucksters" offering 20 different NGC MS-63 Morgans @ $1800. One of the times I thought that it didn't seem like a bad deal.

That wasn't too badly sold - fair for both parties, I think.
