US Fractional Currency Notes - 1862 And 1863 Issues

There is a little English country auction where one of the lots contains US fractional currency notes - 1862 and 1863 issues; demominations 3c, 5c, 10c, and 25c.

The paper seems rather thin; thinner than normal paper currency - is that normal for these issues?

I think so. I haven't owned a lot of that stuff, but don't think it is thick paper. If it is well circulated it gets pretty limp.
