You know, I've just had a sort of an epiphany here. Images as large and clear as yours, shown on a big, high resolution smartphone screen (I have an LG G3), may be the sweet spot for grading from images. It banishes the analysis paralysis of seeing every nick on a big monitor while having the resolution to show every detail. I've been seeing this with Heritage stuff, and I really like it.
Edit to add: Looks like the VAM-28 reverse, but I don't see the scratch on the wing.

Those are great photos! They even show up incredibly sharp on my dinosaur S2 :p

Nice '78-S! I'll wait for your post in the VAM section before I offer a VAM guess.

Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures. Quote: Any time you want to walk the path he did, we can teach you to duplicate his results. Just be warned, coin photography can turn into an addiction pretty quickly.

I've always wanted to have pictures of all my coins neatly organized, but that'd require a camera. I'll definitely be looking into it!

Very nice. I love dark, circulated Morgans. They're easy to photograph too.

looking good I'm thinking about doing something like this but I'm 17 so this would have to be a long term project (low budget)

Thanks jbuck, I was glad to be able to restore the images in the thread. Some of the ImageShack links had been missing for quite a while and now of course, the Photobucket links.
This set has been on the backburner for quite a while, I might start to grab some more coins when I see them up for sale.
