the praying mantis coin was much hyped, many dealers ordered heavyly and are stuck with this coin.

Isn't it required for an official mint distributor to sell at the original mint's retail prices at least until the item is sold out at the mint?

The 1oz and 5oz beaver coins already show "Awaiting Stock" on the Mint's website. I guess $520 for a 5 oz coin is still a good deal? Look for another price increase when the next 5 oz coin comes out.  |

Hold on a sec. We have been through this more than once before, like with the 1/2oz "farewell to penny" silver coin. Many of us thought the coin was sold out when it's status changed to "Awaiting Stock", but found it become available again after a few days... the same for the Go7 Carmicheal coin. So maybe it is just waiting for the next batch to be ready.

I find it is weird and curious... Usually, if a coin is doing well, we would hear about it and could see it. for example, when the 5oz penny was having a good return, we all knows about it because it was all over ebay. I did a quick search on ebay and it doesn't appear that any of them are sold. Yet it is awaiting stock in RCM. I also looked at Canada post website and they don't have any either. I have no interest in the coins but it's just something smell fishy here. |

@ksimms3: 5oz or 1oz? I saw the 1oz at the boutique over the weekend and I am glad I did not buy it

I ordered the 1oz, I think it's hit or miss when it comes to peoples personal choices.

I'm actually surprised that the Beaver didn't make it onto the Wildlife - SML collection - What says "Canada" more than a Beaver.
