I believe the top pf the bezel has a screw so I would say that coins would be interchangeable. Go to a post office and ask to see one. I have seen them there.

Yes, I have given one as a gift before with the silver coin with the birthstone in the middle. Comes with a little screwdriver. Fairly easy to put a coin in there and it holds it securely.

So it doesn't come with the coin for $25 I guess. The picture in the add led me to believe you get it all for $25. 😕 I guess I shouldn't assume things. Was that add in one of those canadapost magazines?

Thanks CC-Ottawa for pointing that out. I didn't know there are two versions: black cord vs nickel chain.
I would prefer the nickel version. Nickel is trading at ~7.5$ per lb today (up from 7.2$ a few days ago)!! (and I am trying to be sarcastic).

I bought the gold 1/25th ounce penny in a Birks silver bezel/chain as a stocking stuffer for my better half...but there is no way the crate it comes in would ever fit, lol.

If I understand correctly, coin has to be removed from the plastic case? So silver will oxidate so you will have to replace coins unless you use gold one ;-)

I just noticed that CP also has a necklace kit for 34mm coin:

Imagine turning the 1/2oz farewell to penny silver coin into a necklace! That would be nice.
