Look up the PCGS video on a famous Canadian dealer who had first crack on this hoard coins and how the RCM marketed to the rest of us as a no return as is sale

sbr, did you publish your PCGS coins in the Canadian $5 &$10 registry? If you got the Trueview photos, we can all see them.

SPP-OTTAWA I don't believe I published in the registry but I just checked through their verification spot and the pictures are there of my original order of 5 coins but not not of the purchased ones or the 1913 $5 that I sent in later for grading.I can give the cert numbers if anyone is interested .One question I noticed that a lot of times people don't show the numbers on ICCS flips or PCGS just wondering why?

HI Everyone, I renewed my interest in this set again, and am going to make a run at the PCGS Set Registry for next year. So I sent my previously ICCS graded coins to PCGS and here are the results. My cut and paste might be hard to follow....PCGS/Professional estimate/ICCS/RCM

Looks like you did well. Your set would rank #2. 5/6 upgraded at least two full notches. About a $7000.00 increase in book value.

Cool! Nice job!
Surprised about the 1914 $10 grading. Would have guessed that the grade by PCGS would have been slight higher, as it just matched ICCS.

Well 185 pages in and I'm finally working on this set. Sigh. I have a feeling it will take me years to accumulate a full set of 64 or higher. Better late than never? :)

Hah! Going to revive this thread again. Coin 6 of 6 is on its way to me right now. I'll post pics when I get the last one here. I managed in 6 months or so to accumulate all 6 coins in MS64 or higher. Pretty impressed with how well that went. Now to get them all in 65 or higher, right? Lol.

I'll be working on upgrades for the next 6 or 8 years now. :)

@ Levaril Nice, congratulations! You did great and in just 5 mos. I'm over a year in and looking for a 1912 $5 in original RCM packaging, preferably the regular hand selected.

Yeah I also have a 1913 $5 Hand Selected and a 1914 $10 Premium Hand Selected in original packaging as well just to have a complete set to show. Also ended up with an extra 1912 $5 MS64 for the heck of it. I think I'll work on a second set. Maybe someday I'll have a collection like Tripoli's. Lol

Sandy C has just posted on ebay, another complete set for sale of the 1912-14 $5 & $10....the 1912 $10 is not part of the horde, but this set would be the top graded set on the PCGS Set Registry at the moment.

It is a gorgeous set. It's also a really premium set with a premium price. 9 months or so later it's still for sale. Shows how hard it can be to resell the really expensive ones. I'm sure at some point someone will come along with deep pockets!
